About Whisper To Humanity Foundation

Whisper To Humanity Foundation is a movement-driven collective of young people committed to promoting social progress through an intersectional feminist lens. By leveraging transformative education, playful learning, digital safety, and creative artivism, Whisper To Humanity actively bridges gender gaps and builds safe, equal environments across its network in eight African nations.

Reimagining Leadership: Shared Co-Executive Leadership

To secure long-term organizational sustainability, honor feminist power-sharing principles, and prepare for a seamless succession from our Founding Executive Director, Whisper To Humanity is restructuring its executive oversight into a Dual Co-Executive Leadership structure.

This operational model splits executive governance into two focused, complementary areas:

  • Programmatic Co-Executive Director (Operations & Programmes): Directs regional expansion, program strategy, policy advocacy, and cross-border network initiatives.
  • Administrative Co-Executive Director (Administration & Communications): Manages internal governance, organizational messaging, financial management, and administrative infrastructure.

The incoming Programmatic Co-ED will enter during an exciting transition phase, working alongside the Administrative Co-ED and receiving structured mentorship during a 24-month handover transition with the Founding Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities & Core Functions

1. Programmatic Vision & Strategic Movement Oversight

  • Direct the strategic vision, design, and execution of all programmatic pillars across African country chapters and regional hubs.
  • Oversee core initiatives spanning transformative education, playful learning, digital safety, and creative artivism to dismantle systemic gender inequality.
  • Drive robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MEL) frameworks to measure movement impact and guide evidence-based program adaptation.

2. Regional Operations & Network Management

  • Provide strategic operational direction for regional hub activities, project workflows, and cross-border program delivery.
  • Lead and support program leads, country leads, and operational teams across network hubs, embedding practices of collective care and youth leadership.
  • Implement rigorous digital safety protocols and risk management frameworks to safeguard grassroots activists, partners, and community members.

3. Policy Advocacy & Regional Movement Building

  • Translate community-led research and grassroots insights into actionable regional and pan-African policy advocacy campaigns.
  • Represent Whisper To Humanity at high-level regional summits, pan-African feminist networks, and international policy convenings.
  • Cultivate strategic coalitions and alliances with youth-led movements, feminist collectives, and regional partners across Africa.

4. Strategic Partnerships & Resource Mobilization

  • Nurture strategic relationships with programmatic partners, regional grant-makers, and movement allies.
  • Co-lead proposal development, fundraising strategies, and resource mobilization for programmatic expansion and operational needs.

5. Shared Co-Leadership & Governance

  • Co-manage overall organizational strategy, annual goals, and policy alignment alongside the Administrative Co-ED, Core Team and Advisory Board.
  • Participate in structured onboarding and mentorship with the Founding Executive Director to facilitate seamless partner and institutional knowledge transfers.
  • Report regularly on programmatic progress, operational benchmarks, and impact metrics to the Advisory Board and funding partners.
